- Physical therapists treat a wide range of conditions including musculoskeletal injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, cardiovascular conditions, and more.
- What are the benefits of physical therapy?
- The benefits of physical therapy include pain relief, improved mobility, increased strength and flexibility, enhanced functional ability, prevention of disability, and improved quality of life.
- How do I know if I need physical therapy?
- Are you not living your best life thanks to pain, immobility, surgery, or weakness? Then consulting a physical therapist may help get you moving in the right direction.
- Do I need a doctor’s referral to see a physical therapist?
- In many cases, you can see a physical therapist without a doctor’s referral. However, some insurance plans may require a referral for coverage. It’s best to check with your insurance provider or the physical therapy clinic for their specific requirements.

- What should I expect during a physical therapy session?
- At REV Physical Therapy we spend the first session getting to know you and your specific needs. Each new client evaluation is tailored to assess the deficits and needs of that particular person. Then an action plan is formed and we will start treating you on day 1.
- How long does a physical therapy session last?
- At REV Physical Therapy all session are at least 40 min with the potential for running up to an hour depending on the needs of the client and availability in the schedule.
- How many physical therapy sessions will I need?
- The number of physical therapy sessions you’ll need depends on various factors including the severity of your condition, your goals, your adherence to the treatment plan, and how your body responds to therapy. Your therapist will discuss your expected course of treatment with you.
- What can I do to maximize the benefits of physical therapy?
- At REV we believe that everyone needs to be an active participant in their care. Maximizing your care will require that you do the homework provided and work hard in the clinic.
- Can physical therapy prevent future injuries?
- Unfortunately, we do not have a crystal ball. While our strategies decrease risk of future injury we cannot promise to completely remove the risk of future injury. We do offer injury prevention services however in hopes of keeping our clients healthy and in their respective activities.
